Itinerary

Day 1/2AIRPORT / KITULGALA

Upon arrival welcome and assistant by our representative and drive to Kitulgala (02 hours) reach to Kitugala check in and refresh at Kitulgala nature resort, two nights and Kitulgala to experience the adventure activities in Kitulgala

Kitulgala is a small town in the west of Sri Lanka. It is in the wet zone rain forest, which gets two monsoons each year, and is one of the wettest places in the country. Nevertheless, it comes alive in the first three months of the year, especially in February, the driest month.

Adventure activities in Kitulgala – White Water Rafting in Kelani River, Village walk with experience trekkers, rock sliding and jumping to natural pool and bird watching and etc.

Day 3/4KITULGALA / HATTON

After breakfast drive to Hatton (01hour drive) en route visit beautiful St. Clair and Devon Water Fall check in to Tea plantation Bungalow in Hatton refresh and two days enjoy activities in Tea Plantation in Hatton

Tea trail tour in Hatton – Follow the trail of the planters of old Ceylon, as they trekked through the dense jungle looking for the best slopes on which to plant tea. Then on to watch the tea puckers pick two leaves and a bud with deft hands. Then to the factory where the all-important conversion to “made” black tea happens, The machinery used is of very traditional British design, some as old as 100 years. The process is a very artisanal one, unchanged for a century. The daily complimentary tour ends with a tasting of different grades of this great brew.

 Cycling through tea plantations – Serious Mountain biking through seamless tea plantations are explored way of crossing estate tracks that connect the tea factories villages and small towns.

Climb Adam Peak with experience guide – discover the misty mountaintop in the midnight with our experienced local guides, you may reach 2,243-meter-high peak – the island’s fourth highest – at midnight to dawn, you may absorb a glorious sunrise and the mountain showdown, cast by the rising sun onto the clouds below

Day 5HATTON / HORTON PLAN / ELLA

Early morning with packed breakfast leave for Horton Plan (02 hours) trekking at Horton Plan National Park

Horton Plains National Park  (04 – 05hrs walk) to reach the escarpment before the mist descends clouding the panoramic view. The Horton Plains are located in the highest plateau of Sri Lanka at an elevation of 7,200 feet above sea level. The highlight of the Plains is the terrific escarpment, The World’s End, which drops vertically for about 700m. On a very clear day, one could view the east horizon too. Rare species of fauna and flora are found here then drive

Thereafter drive to Ella (02 hours) reach to Ella nature resort and evening small walking trail through small villages in Ella, Ella is a beautiful small sleepy town on the southern edge of Sri Lanka’s Hill country it’s situated in the middle of beautiful countryside, with small vegetable plots in the valleys, tea plantations on the hill slopes and forests on the tops.

Day 6ELLA NATURE ACTIVITIES

After breakfast leisure and adventure activities in Ella

Ella offers number of adventure activities that’s clients could experience, amidst a beautiful and magnificent natural setting. Activities include treks to a number of beautiful waterfalls, rock climbing, paragliding, mountain biking through the jungle a local village, high rope courses, low rope course, zipper lines, toddy tappers walk as well as the money rope and there are more interesting activities such as harvesting wild bees honey and ploughing paddy fields and camping also available in Ella.

Little Adam’s peak – The Little Adam’s Peak got it’s named after its big brother, holy mountain Adam’s peak because of the similar shape, Adam’s Peak is further west in Sri Lanka, close to Nuwara Eliya and is 2243m high and a much more exhausting and more challenging climb

Day 7/8 ELLA / YALA

It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.

Day 9/10YALA / SINHARAJA

After breakfast leave for Sinharaja (03 hours) reach to Sinharaja nature resort check in and refresh at resort and two days trekking and exploring Sinharaja rain forest

Sinharaja rain forest – Sinharaja is Sri Lanka’s last existing tropical rainforest. More than 60% of the trees are endemic and many of them are considered rare. There is much endemic wildlife, especially birds, but the forest is also home to over 50% of Sri Lanka’s endemic species of mammals and butterflies, as well as many kinds of insects, reptiles and rare amphibians.

Singharaja Rain Forest with an extent of 11,250 ha. is the only patch of virgin rainforest left in Sri Lanka. This forest was declared a world heritage site in 1989, having the highest number of endemic flora and fauna species in the island and a very high biodiversity. Apart from these sites, you would be visiting the village of Kudawa,

Day 11SINHARAJA / COLOMBO

After breakfast drive to Colombo (03 – 04 hours) Reach to Colombo last night enjoy time in capital city in Sri Lanka, shopping & sightseeing in Colombo, a cozy mixture of the past and present, The Portuguese, Dutch and British have all left in their wake churches and monuments, names and religions, costumes and food and smatterings of their languages which have been absorbed into the speech of the Sri Lankan.

Visit Galle Face Green, Old Parliament, BMICH conference Hall, Independence square, Gangarama Temple and bare Lake and Hindu Kovil, Bazaars & Markets
