Sri Lanka’s tourism industry has once again been severely impacted by the country’s current circumstances. The tourism business, which had been hit hard by the virus, was slowly improving. However, due to the country’s current problems, the number of tourists returning to the country has decreased.
In this situation, the award-winning Israeli film production firm “United Channel Movies” (UCM) sent a production team to Sri Lanka to shoot a film. The Sri Tourist Board greeted the production crew.
Sri Lanka’s tourism industry has once again been severely impacted by the country’s current circumstances. The tourism business, which had suffered a setback due to the Covid epidemic, was steadily regaining ground.
In May, shooting for the Israeli film “Arugam Bay” will begin on the East Coast. The majority of the filming will take place on Sri Lanka’s east coast, in Tel Aviv, Israel, and in Colombo. In Israel and Europe, it will be screened in over 50 countries. Marco Camel, the film’s producer, stated his undying love for Sri Lanka and his willingness to support us during these trying times in the interview.
In collaboration with UCM and the Israeli Film Commission, Frames TV & Film Productions, a Sri Lankan international film production business, is filming these feature films. We would be able to attract tourists and attention to our country by producing such films. It will be extremely beneficial in promoting tourism in the country. We should all be grateful to the production team for coming to Sri Lanka during such a difficult time.
At the same time, we must all ensure that whatever efforts are fought to secure people’s rights in the face of the country’s current crises do not harm the general public or foreign visitors visiting the country.
Because the tourism business is the only method for our country, which is experiencing a serious dollar crisis, to obtain dollars sooner or later. As a result, losing the amount of money we receive owing to our own misbehavior is the same as cutting ourselves.
